History

Parallax keeps every comparison and every deployment, with its script, until you delete it.

Comparisons

Open Comparisons to see every comparison, newest first. Filter by result, by project, or by star. See The Comparisons list.

To see one project’s comparisons, choose More actions > Comparison history on the project.

An older comparison stays readable. It shows “This is an older comparison…” with a link to the latest one. A comparison that was deployed from shows “This comparison is history”, with a link to the comparison made right after the deployment.

Deployments

Open Deployments to see every deployment, newest first. Choose a row to see:

• The target and database, and how many changes ran
• Whether it succeeded or failed, and the error if it failed
• “The script that ran”, read only

Each deployment links to the comparison Before it and the one made right After it, so you can see how the databases differed before and after.

Compare again on a deployment compares the databases as they are now.

Data compare runs

Each data comparison is kept as a run of its data project. Choose a run in the results header to open it. See Data compare and sync.

Pipeline runs

Each pipeline run is kept, with the result of each step. Choose History on the pipeline’s page. See Pipelines.

Copying SQL

Every SQL view has Copy SQL: an object’s change script, the deploy script, the script a past deployment ran, and the data sync script. Paste it into a review, a ticket or a migration file.

Deleting history

• Comparisons: Delete on a row.
• Deployments: Delete on a row deletes the record only. It does not change any database.
• Data compare: Delete result in the results header.
• Pipelines: Clear history in the run history.

Deleting a project also deletes its comparisons.
